Getting Started

60 Minutes

Welcome! Every journey begins with a first step. For this course, that first step is exploring the tools that you’ll use. These tools include the hardware in your kit, the software that controls the hardware, and good safety practices

Electricity Basics

120 Minutes

In this lesson, you build your first circuit and use it to learn about where electricity comes from, how the components in the circuit work together, and how electricity can be measured.

Ohm’s Law

120 Minutes

Every electronic device is composed of circuits. In order for these devices to work correctly, engineers need to precisely understand & control the flow of electricity. Known physical laws determine how electricity behaves in a circuit.

Traffic Signals

120 Minutes

In this lesson, you’ll write programs to control the LEDs in the circuit, including a program for a traffic light.

Dimmer Switch

120 Minutes

In this lesson, you’ll investigate analog signals and how they can be used to control a circuit. You’ll create an LED circuit that dims the LEDs when you turn a device called a potentiometer.

Holiday Lights

180 Minutes

In this lesson, you will design, build, and program your own holiday light display. This is an open-ended project, which means it is up to you to decide how your holiday light circuit operates.

Sports Robot

120 Minutes

After learning how to build circuits that use a microcontroller, you´ll learn how to use a servo motor to create a simple sports robot. You’ll program the robot to be controlled by you to hit, kick, or throw a ball.

Windshield Wipers

120 Minutes

In this lesson, you’ll continue to work with a servo to create a circuit that simulates a windshield wiper.

Untitled design (20).png

Musical Keyboard

120 Minutes

In this lesson, you’ll use a simple electronic component called a piezo buzzer to produce the sound by causing it to vibrate

Untitled design (20).png

Light Wave Radar

120 Minutes

In this lesson, you’ll use your Arduino board and a device called a phototransistor to investigate electromagnetic waves – specifically visible light.

Smart Greenhouse

180 Minutes

In this lesson, you will design, build, and program a climate-control system for a greenhouse. This is an open- ended project, which means it is up to you to decide how your greenhouse system operates.
